Meadow flowers bring vibrancy and biodiversity to the garden. It is a pleasure to observe wild bees and numerous insect species as guests in the garden. Creating a small meadow is inexpensive and easy to maintain. It is only mowed 2 to 3 times a year. In order to be able to reach all areas of the garden easily, only one path is mowed into the meadow.
Another advantage is that by creating a meadow, you save thousands of liters of water compared to a lawn and thus counteract the decline in natural habitats.
When planting, we pay attention to the location (soil composition, solar radiation and expected precipitation). To do this, we select a suitable seed mixture of native species and mow them back gently at times that suit the species composition. The clippings initially remain lying around for a few days, allowing insects to migrate to the islands that have not been cut back. Finally, the cuttings are removed.
